Homemade Cold Brew Recipes

If you know me, you know I love some homemade cold brew, especially in the warmer months. So today, I am sharing with you how to make cold brew at home , plus my favourite homemade cold brew recipes to use with the cold brew concentrate.

First off, I wanted to talk about the benefits of homemade cold brew, yes you heard that, there are benefits to cold brew.

Less Acidic. Yes, that’s right, cold brew is actually less acidic than your regular hot cup of coffee. When you make coffee with hot water it releases it’s acidic compounds. Making cold brew will make your coffee less acidic and easier on your stomach.

Sweeter. It actually tastes sweeter than your hot cup of coffee because heat causes more of a bitter flavour to be released. If you regularly take sugar in your coffee, you may find you don’t even need it.

It also lasts a lot longer than your hot cup of coffee, when you make cold brew at home you can keep it in the fridge for a week!

So let’s get in to how to make homemade cold brew.
