How To NOT Get Sick!

This time of year everyone is getting sick. With the change of season comes a time where we are more susceptible to infections, but today I am going to share how to NOT get sick.  These are all things you can do to bolster your immune system and stay healthy. And I haven’t gotten a cold in years, so safe to say these things work!.

Deep Immune.

This is my favorite for boosting the immune system so you don’t get sick. Full of herbs to increase your defenses like Reishi, Astragalus, Schisandra, Eleuthero and Licorice. This is what you want to take before you get sick.

Vitamin D.

Great for enhancing the immune system. Vitamin D turns on peptides that host a strong anti-microbial response, meaning you will quickly and effectively fight off invaders before it turns into a full-blown infection.

Bone Broth.

Rich in minerals that support the immune system bone broth is great for ensuring you don’t get sick. It nourishes the digestive system, which is important because 80% of your immune cells are in your gut!.

Ginger Shot.

Ginger is a great anti-oxidant and works to clean out the lymphatic system- the infections along with it. It also helps to soothe inflammation, meaning your body won’t need to work as hard to fight off infections. Lastly, ginger is a great anti-microbial, specifically for Staphylococcus aureus and streptococcus, and is found to be more effective than your conventional antibiotics. So load up!

Warm Foods.

When your system is fighting off an infection the last thing you want is for it to be shunting energy to your digestion system to work on food. Eating cooked foods, as opposed to raw, and warm easy to digest things like soup allow your body to focus on other things.

NAC and glutathione.

NAC is a great anti-oxidant for the body. It is also a precursor to glutathione, which is important in the bodies defense system. It provides your immune system with the energy it needs, making your body for resistant to infections. When your white blood cells and boosted up with NAC, they are more likely to fight off anything you come in contact with.

Spice things up.

Adding warming and nurturing spices to your everyday food is a great and easy way to keep your immune system strong all season. Things like cayenne, ginger, turmeric, and cinnamon all help the body, while also adding flavor. So don’t be afraid to load up on these in stir-fry’s, roasted veggies or even your coffee!
