5 Reasons I Love Peppermint Tea…and why you Should Too!

Guys, it’s official. I’m OBSESSED. I LOVE peppermint tea.

I drink peppermint tea multiple times a day, and I really can’t get enough. If you want to know why I love peppermint tea so much and why it’s so great, read my tips below!

Throwing a few peppermint leaves into so hot water is the best way to make peppermint tea!

Aids Digestion

This is one of the main reasons I love peppermint tea. It helps with bloating, digestion and gas, making it great to have after meals. Not to mention helping to calm an upset stomach. Anything that will help keep my stomach flat and happy, I am all for. I typically make a cup after lunch and after dinner.

Freshens Breath

Well hey, mint is in the name. But it actually does keep your breath fresh! The antibacterial properties in the tea kill the germs that cause bad breath, leaving you fresh and clean.

Reduces Appetite

Both the smell and drinking this tea helps to reduce appetite. Meaning it can help you crush cravings, prevent over-eating, and stay on track to be healthy.

Reduces stress

The menthol in mint is a natural sedative and antispasmodic, meaning it will help clear any mental stress. Yes, please. It can also help reduce blood pressure, allowing you to unwind and relax. Try a cup before bed to help prevent any late night restless thoughts! (For an added bonus diffuse some peppermint oil during the night as well!)

Boosts immune system

If you’re like me, you don’t have time to get sick. So I rely on peppermint tea for its antibacterial properties to help with coughs and colds. It fights off illness and helps your body function in a healthy way. LOVE.
