This green goddess dressing is a wonderfully creamy sauce that is gluten-free, dairy-free and tastes super fresh. It can be drizzled on both salads and bowls to add tons of flavour.
This green goddess dressing is a fresh and delicious way to light up your meals. It is super creamy because of the avocado and has a wonderful herb flavour. What I love about avocados is that they are perfect to enjoy any time of day, whether it is breakfast, lunch, dinner or a snack. You could even drizzle this dressing on your eggs in the morning!
Why I love avocados:
They are a nutrient-dense fruit that contain beneficial vitamins, minerals, and plant compounds to enhance the quality of your diet.
They act as a “nutrient booster” to help the body absorb more fat-soluble vitamins from foods eaten with them.
They are virtually the only fruit that contains 3 grams monounsaturated fat and 0.5 grams polyunsaturated fat (the good fats).
They are super versatile and can be used in savoury dishes, as well as smoothies and baked goods.
They contain 81 mg. of the carotenoids Lutein + Zeaxanthin per serving, which research suggests may help maintain eye health as you age.
Ingredients in Green Goddess Dressing:
Avocado: Adds creaminess to the dressing while also making it nice and thick.
Basil: For some fresh herby flavour.
Garlic: This gives it a punch.
Lemon: Use fresh! It also helps to preserve the dressing.
Green Onion: Adds a crisp flavour.
Olive Oil: Gives it that delicious olive oil flavour.
HOW TO STORE THIS DRESSING
This green goddess dressing will last in the fridge for up to 5 days. I suggest storing it in a mason jar to keep it extra fresh. It does tend to get a little thicker in the fridge because of the olive oil so you may need to let sit at room temperature about 15 minutes before using.
